Why Is The Market So Competitive?

Why is the market so competitive? Why are prices going up?

This is one of the reasons. We love the boomers but they own a lot of homes, and they are staying in them a lot longer than we expected. While we thought they would downsize and go to condos they are living healthier and longer lives and staying in their homes.

And with that, there is a lack of resale homes becoming available on the market, and that leads us back to the supply vs demand conversation. With a lack of supply and high demand, the prices go up.

It is interesting how so much plays into the market and how it behaves, and this is just one piece of the puzzle.

Now introducing our newest team member.... Rowan Costa!!

Rowan was with us last year for 3 weeks during his internship, and even when I put him through all the long days and hard work he still decided that this was the dream job he wanted to pursue. He graduated and got to work taking his Real Estate license and he has now joined our team!

I couldn't be more excited to have Rowan with us! He is full of energy, eager to learn and will be launching our new investor's program with us. (stay tuned my friends)

Canada's population is growing! We need these people coming to Canada to contribute to our economy and workforce, but this number also means a lot of people need housing.

This is one of the factors in the marketplace contributing to rising house costs and a reason we won't see price decreases anytime soon.

The wonderful people coming into our country usually come with some money, and that money means they can buy a fantastic home.

We need more housing, faster, to accommodate all those entering the market for prices to come down... and the reality is that just isn't going to happen anytime soon.
