The Largest Transition
With one generation moving out of their homes and beginning to downsize we are seeing the largest generational transition of both wealth and "stuff"
This is a generation that was able to build massive wealth in their homes, selling them for significantly more than what they bought it for, and probably living in a paid-off home for years.
This generation also loved nicknacks and tchotchke; they kept numerous items "in case they ever needed it" and wanted to keep most to hand down to their kids. The biggest problem is that those tchotchkes don't have value now, and the kids don't want the stuff. Old solid wood tables haven't come back in style (yet), and thus, prepping a home for sale is a daunting task.
Maybe this sounds familiar, you or your parent are going through this right now, and we are here to help. Reach out, and let's talk about what your downsizing journey might look like.
