86 Burland SOLD
/This story at first glance seems very normal. An awesome family works very hard, preps their home, it sells in a week. Done! But if only it were really that easy….
With an accepted offer on their new home, conditional to the sale of Burland, they got to work prepping their home for sale. Diligently they got everything done, and I even got to witness the treadmill being moved from the basement out of the house while I stopped in during the chaos to shoot a local buisness video with Janelle.
Just a few days before it was scheduled to hit the market I got the dreaded news….. the 48 hour clause had been invoked on their purchase. We had to decided to pull the plug, or be risky and proceed. With the amount of work put into it all, and the confidence in how amazing Burland is, we took the risky road and proceeded.
We hit the market on election day…. which means it was a slow start, just slightly nerve racking? It wasn’t until Wednesday that the showings started coming in a bit more and we all took a bit of a breath. I will admit I was on pins and needles the whole time, constantly checking the stats, watching the numbers and there was always a twinge of worry as we HAD to have their home sold by November 5th. Probably the most frustrating thing of all was that we were getting next to no feedback on the showings. I usually prep my clients that 50% of the time I receive feedback, but this time we were probably down to 10%. Because of this we were truly kept in the dark until offers date having no idea if buyers were liking the home or not.
Monday morning, the date of offers, my phone started going off like crazy, lots of questions were being asked by potential buyers and I felt like I could relax a bit. With this amount of questions I knew that we would have at minimum one offer, and we ended up with two.
Coming into their home to present the offers felt amazing. And then we just had 4 more nail biting days waiting for the home inspection and financing conditions to pass. With 2 hours left to spare on Friday, I was able to send them the most glorious video announcing their home was officially SOLD!
You guys seriously crossed as many hurdles as one possibly could in this process. I am so grateful for how amazing you are. Although I know how stressed you were, you stayed so incredibly positive, you trusted the process, and you trusted me. Your whole family is amazing and I wish you all the happiness in the world in your new home.
